+ You got his explorer down early. This is always a good idea vs Portugal since it prevents them from using their spyglass ability. + Your build order allowed you to get a huge force up early. + You got some culverins up in anticipation of his culvs.
-Your first attack wasnt diverse enough and his cacadores were ready for you. -Your second and thrid tc came quite late. -You started to spam lancers when he had guereiros. You needed culverins for his lil bombards and skirms +maybe some lancers to kill those musks. -Your transition over to mills/plantations wasnt too smooth. -You went industrial at a time in which you needed your coin for culverins and skirms to counter his attack. -You should have researched counter infantry rifling. -You never harassed him on the sea.
Your initial game stages were amazing and you boom was pretty good too but you were unable to adapt to his guereiros+lil bombards and deservedly lost. Player Rating: 6.5/10
Asgard Civ: Ports Cutech:2128
+You got fishing boat production going in discovery already. + Good use of minutemen to repel his first push. + You chose a great map for the whale oil card. + Although it was lucky, getting rid of your spare coin from fishing on lil bombards was a game winning move. + You got the melee upgrade for you musks so that they did better vs lancers.
- I think your tc placement could have been a bit more outgoing. - You boomed far too hard. You were miles above him on the settler count but you lost them all again due to not having enough military. -You had too many cacadores early on. Some goons or culverins or even organs could have been more useful vs his unit combos. -Your micro at 21:00 mins was bad. Your ronins spent more time running around in circles than fighting, you cacadores got caught up by some lancers and your mamelukes were fighting rods. All in all i also think you had too little anti cav.
Despite over booming at the beginning, you were able to come back with a very strong unit combo. Player Rating: 8/10
Pretty well played on both sides but it was some of the underused features of the game such as the arsenal and the saloon that decided this game. Game rating: 8/10
rotw contender
