I have no idea why the legal limit is 17. The law last I checked explicitly defined the age limitation for minors in these sorts of activities to be 13 years of age.

Its because people use stuff like Live journal or myspace for stuff that could be considered porn or fetish (example is girls smoking cigs) or self destructive (i wanna kill myself).

And no myspace here. I'm not into face partys. I used to use a LJ for keeping up with some other people but i got rid of it 5 or so months ago if not more. I still look at many of the communitys tho but nothing really gaming wise. Well that and keeping up with friends via GAIA journals.
