- Watch out for Light cannons when he reaches industrial, you lost nearly all of your cannons to a few of them being built while your Elmeti were off fighting somewhere else.
- Try to keep up with Fishing Boat production, Hispanola has plenty of fish and Whales to gather. - Scout more with your explorer on the other half of the map. He was idle for quite a while when he could be gathering those small treasures or spotting that Great House being built. - Try to spot stealth raid with Spies or your explorer, you lost about 5 villagers at once due to this at the 12:00 mark
- Don’t attack a Great Houses unless you can take it down – you only attacked with 3 Petards and he was able to repair it before you attacked again.
Summary: With your excellent use of naval combat and superiority, you were able to easily schooner boom and keeping an intact economy while your base was getting destroyed. Your overall better economy was able to quickly produce the right counter units. Player Score: 7.5
Yaku_Fra + Good Great House placement to corner him in a small corner of the map + Nice FF and raids with your Forest Prowlers
- When you saw he had Caravels and fishing boats, you should have built War Canoes and Canoes to fight him on the water, as Light Cannons don’t outrange the ships. - Keep up with villager production in early-mid Fortress, you only had a handful of villagers (about 25) at the 12:00 mark. - You had nothing but six Kanya Horsemen from 13:00-Industrial. Had he attacked you with a good number of troops, your great houses would not have saved you. You did have plenty of excess resources to build troops with. - You had no anti-cav in your army when he attacked you. His Elmeti + Falconets destroyed your troops with ease. Ship 16 Tomahawks or build a few Tomahawks or Musket Riders to counter.
- Don’t fight within his ship’s range with normal troops, you lost about 30 troops of Forest Prowlers and Tomahawks while you were siegeing his barracks.
- Don’t go to Imperial when you have only a handful of troops and you were on the defensive. Instead, fill your population with troops (I suggest Forest Prowlers, Musket Riders and Light Cannons) then go to Imperial.
Summary: With a powerful FF you were able to gain superior map control, however, you did not use this to your advantage, and instead did the Travois dance and built Plantations and Farms. You were able to keep the upper hand until Homer was able to quickly produce the correct units to counter your army, which had virtually no Anti-Cav as it got depleated. Player Score: 6.5 Overall Summary: A very nice game once again showing the power of naval ships which provide offshore support. Homers overall better play and counter-units won him the game in the end Game Score: 6.8
