Battle for Middle Earth 2

I've just bought a new computer and installed bfme2 on it again. Everything works fine but my field of vision is luch more reduced than on my other computer
For example, i used to be able to see 6 fortress if i cliked anywhere on the map but now it looks like i've zoomed and i can see only 2

I watched some videocasts (for example valente vs drizzt in elf vs mordor) and the player's field of vision is much bigger than mine.

Is it possible to widen it? It's really disturbing to be always focused on a small part of the map...

Also BT2DC has increased field of vision. Also it is possible to edit it yourself. I just am too tired to start explaining again how to do it. Search for increase zoom or so on coz the forum has million topics about it already.

There's a file floating around but it seems no one wants to post it because they whine about "cheating" when it isn't.

If it were then everyone playing supreme commander is a cheater.

I don't think it's cheat to use the widescreen fix, the normal field of vision is so small! EA should have made it official imo

Um it doesn't zoom out at all. its just wider. I'm talking about zooming out to where you can see the entire map.

BT2DC is a mod that increases the map height, otherwise you'll have to edit manually. I have gone through that process couple million times here

well, there is a way...i'm not sure if this is known or not, but as I havent seen it in any of the discussion here or in the .06 discussion I presume its not really used. There is a glitch in the erebor level of the campaign. after a few minutes, you can zoom out to infinity and beyond. then if you leave that and go to a skirmish or online, you still have that same power. here is a picture of Erebor zoomed out. note: this only works until you close the game.

do you access clanwars from inside the game? (im not mocking you, I really dont know) if it is, then you can, before your cw game, go into the erebor level, paly until you can zoom out, then quit, then go to your cw gaem, and you will be able to zoom out

Yes you do have to do all that, I've adviced you and please believe I could actually know something about this game and don't question everything I say. If you have nothing to say (and I mean anything that is useful to someone) please stick with being quiet. I have million forums to monitor already and I don't wish to tell someone the same thing 20000000 times over and over when a member can't use the ^%#&/% search button. THANKS.



Yeah you do access. Not quite practical btw Meaning the Erebor bug. When you can mod the maps.

I know how to do it, and could easily upload a small 1 mb file (actually i think its less) but i just dont want cw to turn into a lagfest. Also i cba i suppose xD

It's not quite 1 megabyte afaik. Rainy did a mod which is about.. 45 megs
