FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING

Frodo Baggins Attached Image

Aliases: The Ringbearer
Date of Birth: Sept 22, 2968 T.A.
Race: Hobbit (Harfoot.Fallohide)
Height: 3-4 feet
Date of Death: Unknown
Alignment: Good
Parents: Drogo Baggins
and Primula Brandybuck
Spouse: None
Date of Marriage: N/A Children: none

Physical description: As hobbits go, Frodo was of medium height, with thick brown curly hair. He was not as fat as most hobbits. The Fallohide in him made him lighter skinned then a full-blooded Harfoot. Also is said to be "taller then some and fairer
then most."

Biography: Frodo was the only son of Drogo Baggins and Primula Brandybuck. His parents both died in the year 2980, so he was adopted by his uncle Bilbo Baggins, the wealthy bachelor. Upon Frodo's coming of age, Bilbo parted from the Shire, and left nearly all of his worldly belongings, including Bag End, to Frodo. In 3018, Frodo travelled to Rivendell under the name Mr. Underhill to escape pursuit of Sauron's forces. Along the way he received a near deadly blow from a Morgul knife dealt by a Nazgul. In Rivendell, he volunteered to destroy the Ring in Mordor. 8 companions were chosen to accompany him on his quest. He had many heroic adventures with and without the Fellowship before he finally reached The Cracks of Doom, where at the moment of truth, he claimed the Ring for himself. Shortly thereafter he was overtaken by Gollum, who during a fight for the Ring, bit off Frodo's finger, and fell himself into the fire. After the War of the Ring, Frodo was, for a while, mayor of Michel Delving. but constantly feeling dejected and unfulfilled, sailed over the sea with Gandalf and Bilbo.

Samwise Gamgee Attached Image

Aliases: Gardener
Date of Birth: 2980 T.A.
Race: Hobbit (Harfoot)
Height: 3-4 feet
Date of Death: Unknown
Alignment: Good
Parents: Hamfast Gamgee and Bell Goodchild
Spouse: Rose Cotton
Date of Marriage: 3019 T.A.
Children: Elanor, Frodo, Pippin, Bilbo, Goldilocks, Hamfast,
Merry, Tolman, Robin, Rose, Daisy, Primrose, and Ruby

Physical description: Short with curly thick, brown hair. Brown worn hands from garden work.

Biography: Samwise was the youngest son of Hamfast Gamgee. He led a fairly uneventful life up until his beginnings in the tale of the Ring. Sam was deeply curious about elves, partly because of this, (and partly because he was an eavesdropper), he was selected by Gandalf to accompany Frodo to Rivendell. Elrond also selected him to join the fellowship of the ring. Throughout the journey, Sam proved his loyalty several times over, and without him the quest would have surely failed. After the betrayal by Smeagol to Shelob, Sam saved the ring from falling into enemy hands, and attempted to destroy the Ring himself. Samwise's strength and plain hobbit sense allowed him to resist the lure of the Ring's power, and realise that it was to much a task for him to do alone. After the War of the ring, Sam was elected Mayor of Michel Delving 7 times. He and his wife Rosie Cotton had 13 children before her death in Fourth age 82, when he sailed over the sea as the last of the Ring Bearers.

Meriadoc Brandybuck Attached Image

Aliases: Merry, Meriadoc the Magnificent, Holdwine,
Master Holbytla, Master Perian
Date of Birth: 2982 T.A.
Race: Hobbit
Height: about 3 1/2 feet, probably around 4 1/2 feet
after the War of the Ring
Date of Death: Fourth Age 67
Alignment: Good
Parents: Saradoc Brandybuck and Esmerelda Took
Spouse: Estella Bolger

Physical description: Thick, curly, brown hair; Pippin and Merry were the tallest of all hobbits (thanks to the ent-draughts)

Biography: Merry was always a close friend of Frodo Baggins, and with Pippin and Samwise, spied out Frodo's plan to leave the Shire and unexpectedly joined him on his journey to Rivendell. Upon the arrival in Rivendell, Merry was selected to join the Fellowship, though Elrond was against it. Gandalf thought that the loyalty of a true friend may have been better than the might of a warrior. Merry travelled with the company to Parth Galen, where he and Pippin were captured by orcs. Merry and Pippin managed to escape into Fangorn forest during an attack on the orcs by the Rohirrim. There they met Treebeard, and played a major part in the rousing of the Ents and the destruction of Isengard. It was in Isengard where Merry met King Theoden, unto whom he pledged his service. He rode with Dernhelm, of Theoden's army, to Gondor. He fought valiantly in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields, and aided in the avenging of Theoden's death. Merry was nearly killed by the black breath, but was healed by Aragorn. After the War of the Ring, Merry was made a knight of Rohan, and treated with honor whenever he returned. He then went home to the Shire, where he was one of the leading forces in its scouring. Upon the death of his father, Meriadoc was made Master of Buckland, and was known as Meriadoc the Magnificent.

Peregrin Took Attached Image

Date of Marriage: FO 7

After the Council, Pippin was very adamant that he intended to join the Fellowship, whether he had the approval of the Council or no. Though he made two very crucial mistakes along the road, first tossing a stone into the well in Moria, and second, looking into the Palantir, Pippin far surpassed proving his worthiness. Notable deeds concerning Pippin's tale in LotR include, aiding in the rousing of the Ents, and after travelling with Gandalf to Gondor, offering his sword in service to the Steward of the city. In the final battle of the War of the Ring, Pippin was narrowly saved by Gimli, when he was crushed under the body of a mountain troll.

Gollum Smeagol Attached Image

Aliases: Gollum, Trahald, Slinker, Stinker
Date of Birth: 2430 T.A
Race: Hobbit of the Stoor strain
Height: between 3-4 feet, when not hunched over
Date of Death: 3019 T.A.
Alignment: Evil

Physical description: Drastically changed from his original hobbit form by the power of the One Ring. Black skin, thin wispy hair. He had large pale green eyes which shone like lamps in the dark and apparently aided him in keen night vision. He was withered down to a lean frame of skin and bones, but very strong.

Biography: Smeagol's original name was Trahald, the Anglicized equivalent of which is Smeagol. Smeagol was born in the year 2430 to a fairly prominent family of hobbits of the Stoor strain near the Gladden Fields. In the year 2463, the day of Smeagol's coming of age, he went fishing with his cousin Deagol. While fishing, Deagol saw something glittering under the surface of the water, dove in after it, and came up with a glittering gold ring. Before even knowing the qualities of the beautiful ring, Smeagol's desire to own it overtook him, and he murdered his cousin for it. Smeagol soon developed many undesirable qualities, like stealing, eavesdropping, and being sneaky whenever he had the opportunity. It was these qualities which got him banished from his household. Cursing his bad luck and his family, he eventually made his way to a gloomy den underneath the Misty Mountains. Living in darkness, he grew to hate the light of the sun and moon, but the moon he would tolerate. Smeagol stayed there for many years until he was unexpectedly visited by Bilbo Baggins, who found Smeagol's ring near the water where he had left it accidently. After the "theft" of his "birthday present", Smeagol found the strength to venture out and pursue the Ring. He wandered far and wide until the year 3017, when he was captured by Sauron. This is how Sauron found out about the name of Baggins. Soon after he was captured by Aragorn, who turned him over to Gandalf, but managed to escape during an orc raid, immediately setting off in search of the Ring. He managed to catch up with Frodo and the Fellowship near the West Gate of Moria, following them through, and betraying them to the orcs. Following them through Moria and Lorien, Smeagol was captured by Frodo and Sam near Emyn Muil, after which he faithfully led the pair to Cirith Ungol, and seemed to be changing his ways. In Cirith Ungol though he revealed his true nature, betraying Frodo and Sam to Shelob with the intention of finding the Ring in their discarded clothing. His plan did not work out as intended, and he had to set out after the Ring once more. He caught up with Frodo and Sam at the foot of Mount Doom, where he was cast down by Frodo, and stayed by Samwise out of pity. Frodo was eventually overcome by the power of the Ring at the edge of the Cracks of Doom, where once again he was accosted by Smeagol, wrestling for the Ring. In the struffle he managed to bite off Frodo's Ring finger and recovered the One Ring. In a dance of mirth and excitement, he lost himself and fell into the Cracks of Doom, thus fulfilling the quest.
He was extremely quick, and could hear the slightest sound from a great distance.

Legolas became a member of the Fellowship of the Ring after vowing to protect Frodo in his quest, through the power of his bow. In
Lorien, Legolas and Gimli become close friends, a friendship that lasted the rest of their lives. After the breaking of the Fellowship, Legolas went with Gimli and Aragorn in search of Merry and Pippin, and fought in the battle of Hornburg. He eventually went to Gondor, and fought in the Battle of Pelennor Fields; while in Gondor, he had his first glimpse of the sea, and was overcome by a deep desire to sail away from that moment on. After the War of the Ring, he journeyed with Gimli to visit the Glimmering Caves and Fangorn Forest. In the year 120 FO, after the death of Aragorn, Legolas sailed over the sea, taking Gimli the dwarf the with him, they were the last of the Fellowship.

Being an Elf, Legolas is immortal. He cannot die from disease or old age, but he can be killed in battle or die of a broken heart. His age is estimated at 2,931! Which is actually said to be quite young for an Elf. Other Elf qualities that Legolas possesses are quick reflexes and heightened senses, such as excellent hearing and keen eye sight. He also moves with agility and grace and is light-footed, walking on top of the snow, instead of stepping down into it, as seen in The Fellowship of the Ring. Legolas is a symbol of the friendship between Elves and Men-he joins Aragorn in the fight to save humanity while the other Elves have left Middle Earth. Legolas feels betrayed by his people and refuses to leave his friends alone in the battle of Middle Earth. Legolas is strong-willed and brave and would give up his own life to save a friend.

Quotes about Legolas:
"Legolas was fair of face beyond the measure of Men, and he sang an elven-song in a clear voice as he walked in the morning" and "has bright elven-eyes with his long slender hand". - J.R.R Tolkien
"Tall, fair, graceful, Legolas is the son of the Elven King Thranduil."

A Few Side-Facts About Elves:
-Elves are immortal and do not physically age
-Elves do not grow weak as they age, only wiser and more beautiful
-Elves have more beauty then any other creatures on earth, but also possess the most extreme happiness and sorrow

Gandalf Stormcrow Attached Image

Grey Wanderer, Stormcrow, Greyhame, Mithrandir, Grey Fool,
The White Rider
Date of Birth: ?
Race: Maia
Height: Described as rather tall, but bent
Date of Death: ?
Alignment: Good
Parents: N/A
Spouse: None
Date of Marriage: N/A
Children: none

Physical description: Appeared as an old man with a wise face. Immensely long grey beard, and bushy eyebrows. He was dressed in grey robes throughout much of LotR, but after his fall in Moria, he was dressed in shining white.

Biography: Gandalf entered into Middle Earth as one of the Istari, and was deemed the wisest of the order by Galadriel. He has been said to be the person most responsible for Sauron's downfall, laboring nonstop for roughly 2000 years to put an end to his reign. Gandalf was the bearer of Narya, the Ring of Fire, given to him by Cirdan when he arrived in Middle Earth. Gandalf always held Hobbits near to his heart, and he also held their race in high regard. When Bilbo found the Ring, Gandalf immediately suspected that it was the One Ring, but allowed Bilbo to keep it, for he knew Bilbo to be strong, and innocent: plus he knew no safer place for it, and he dare not be tempted with it himself. In the year 3001, Gandalf persuaded Bilbo to leave the Ring to Frodo, and shortly thereafter, Gandalf set in motion the Quest of Mount Doom. Gandalf was one of the most important people at the Council of Elrond, because he alone knew the full history of Sauron and the Ring. Although he fell battling the Balrog in Moria, he was sent back to Middle Earth as Gandalf the White to complete his errand. Aside from aiding Frodo in his journey, Gandalf did many other chief deeds during the War of the Ring, including freeing Theoden from the evil spells of Saruman and Wormtongue, and casting Saruman out and taking over as the head of the White Council. After the War of the Ring Gandalf sailed from the Grey Havens with Elrond, Bilbo, and Frodo. It is believed that he also took his beloved horse, Shadowfax.

After leading the forces against Sauron at Osgiliath, he went to Rivendell to learn of the answer to the dream he shared with his brother Faramir. At the Council of Elrond he was chosen as a companion in the Fellowship of the Ring. Boromir could be credited with Aragorn for saving the lives of the Fellowship on Caradhras, tunneling through the snow to get the party to safety. Boromir was valiant in battle, as he proved in Moria. However, Boromir had been tempted by the power of the Ring since he first learned of its whereabouts, and the temptation finally proved too much for him at Amon Hen, where he attempted to take the ring from Frodo by force. He instantly repented, but his rant forced Frodo's immediate decision to leave the Fellowship, and strike out for Mordor on his own. Boromir was killed shortly thereafter, defending Pippin and Merry from a raiding orc-band.

Saruman Attached Image

Aliases: The White Hand, Saruman the White, Curunir, Curumo, Sharkey, Sarman of many colors.
Date of Birth: ?
Race: Maia
Height: rather tall, around 6 feet
Date of Death: 3019 T.A.
Alignment: Evil
Parents: None
Spouse: None
Date of Marriage: N/A
Children: N/A

Physical description: White hair, rather like to Gandalf in appearance. Black hair near temples, and corners of mouth.

Biography: Saruman came to Middle Earth as the Chief of the Istari, and was the head of the White Council. But for many years, Saruman concealed his secret desires for power and glory. He desired to have the One Ring, and spent many years building armies, in preparation for war. Saruman despised Gandalf, for I believe he knew who was the more powerful, and he knew he could never sway Gandalf to aid him in his evil plots. Saruman was greatly learned in the lore of the rings, and Sauron's history. He knew that Gandalf knew where the ring lay hidden, and it frustrated him that he could not get the information out of him. Saruman's chief power was his voice, to a unaware listener, it sounded sweeter than elvish singing, and he could persuade nearly anyone to do his bidding. In 2953, Saruman took the tower of Orthanc for his fortress, here he began to build his evil armies, and it was his own forces which did damage to Fangorn Forest, and caused his downfall. About 3000 TA, Saruman used the palantir of Orthanc, and was trapped by Sauron, after which, though he thought himself to be free, he was controlled by the Dark Tower. In the year 3010, he sent his servant, Grima, to Theoden. Grima managed to wither Theoden into an early dotage, until he was revived by Gandalf in 3019. Saruman brought about his own destruction by not minding what his armies did to the Fangorn Forest, and forgetting about the Ents. During the War of the Ring, the Ents took revenge upon Isengard, and held Saruman captive in his own fortress, until the king was recrowned, then Treebeard, thinking Saruman was now harmless, allowed him to surrender the keys of Orthanc and flee. Saruman had long had secret dealings in the Shire, and headed there almost immediately, and set to work his last evil plot. Frodo, Sam, Pippin, and Merry deeply regretted tarrying on the way home once they got there. They found walls, and machines, and gates, and rules. All things that were never found in the Shire when they departed. They soon got roused the spirits of the unhappy hobbits, and caused quite an uprising, and caused all the ruffians to flee. Without his henchmen, Saruman didn't have a leg to stand on, and was ready to depart the Shire; but not without one last strike. Saruman attempted to stab Frodo with a concealed dagger, which just glanced off Frodo's armor. Frodo was still willing to let him leave unharmed, but Saruman's poor, long tortured servant, Grima, had different ideas. Grima sprang on Saruman and sliced his throat, and was struck dead by the surrounding hobbit archers. Saruman's spirit rose from his body like smoke from a fire, looked toward the West, wavered, and dissapeared with the wind.

Upon Denethor's hearing of Boromir's death, he fell into a deep depression, and his last days were blackened. Even though the swearing in of Pippin as a Swordthain of Gondor cheered him some, it was not enough to save him. Denethor ordered his own execution, after hearing of Faramir's illness after his encounter with a Nazgul. Denethor had intended to burn both himself and Faramir in the pyre, but Faramir was saved by Pippin, Gandalf, and Beregond. It is supposed that the vision that Denethor saw in the Palantir also contributed to his eventual suicide.

Biography: Sauron was the creator of the One Ring. During his stay at Dol-Guldur, He was known as the Necromancer. At the time of The Fellowship of the Ring, He was in a constant, sleepless search for the Ring, building his armies, and breeding fell races to do his bidding. His greatest servants were the 9, the Nazgul, servants of the Ring. It would be nearly impossible to list all of the evil plots of Sauron, the master of deceit and treachery, but his chief deeds are listed as follows: the creation of the Black Speech, the breeding of the Olog-Hai and possibly the Uruk-Hai, and the creation of the aforementioned Nazgul, men ensnared into service by the Nine Rings of Men. Even though he did not possess the Ring, its existence gave him enough strength to eventually overcome Middle Earth, and Gandalf and Elrond knew that the only decision was to destroy the Ring, a deed which Sauron had never thought of, and could not fathom.

Construct a couple resource gatering structures within your base then use your initial units to seek out settlements around your base to build more resource gathering structures. You may wish to add a battalion or horde now or use your initial units to clear out some neutral sites for their gold. The goblin lairs are your targets; wargs and cave trolls are very tough for your initial forces.

Scout your enemy to destroy his base building progress, unit production, . Train a cheap hero if you are Gondor, Rohan, or Mordor. You can train Pippin (Gondor), Merry (Rohan), or Gollum (Mordor) and use them to scout. Pippin and Merry can even cloak when stationary. As Isengard, use the Vision of the Palantir power to keep an eye on your opponent.

Seek out settlements and expand. Maintain unit production in line with your income. Dont fall behind on unit production or you could quickly lose your expansions if your opponent has trained several battalions or hordes and sends them to your new structures. The greater the number of expansions in the long run, the more income you’ll generate. The more income you generate, the more units you can produce or, perhaps even better, the more upgrades you can purchase or heroes you can train.

Troop Management

Its possible to combine two different battalions or hordes to create a combination unit set. For instanc, you could combine pikemen with archers. The pikemen remain in the front while the archers stand behind. You could combine soldiers with cavalry. The soldiers stand in the front and the cavalry remain in the rear; once the soldiers engage in battle, the cavalry rush to disrupt the enemys line.

Combining troops allows you to enhance units during battle. Combining tower guards with archers helps protect your ranged units; the tower guards fight on the front line and block the attacks attempting to reach your ranged units. A combination can also help protect a particular unit type from a counter unit..

As highlighted through the general strategies section, be sure to mix your forces and consider unit counters as you fund and train troops. If your opponent masses cavalry, train units effective against cavalry, such as uruk pikes, tower guards, trolls, or mumakil.

Your choice of side will certainly dictate your unit production Gondor tends to be the defensive side. Turtle yourself in Gondors mighty defenses and utilize economic upgrades to reach the uber-powerful Gandalf. Those fighting against Gondor should maintain constant pressure and prevent economic expansion to try and negate the mighty hero. Use Gandalfs Istari Light against enemy heroes and crush other units with wizard blast, lightning sword, and word of power.

Mordor can train free orcs, which sounds extremely unbalanced; hower the orcs are basically cannon fodder for most other troops, especially upgraded forces. Churning out free orcs simply to mass a huge army may only serve to grant your opponent lots of free experience. Pressure your opponent early when the orcs have a chance against enemy forces. Send free orcs to the slaughter house for more resources. As the game wears on, Mordor’s orcs become more and more unimportant. Shift production to Haradrim, fire arrow enhanced archers, and catapults. Nazgul can be useful but are countered rather easily by fire arrows and Gandalf. You’ll have to use the nazgul in hit and run strikes and away from these counters to be effective.

Use Rohan to harass and raid your opponents expansions. Quick Rohirrim cavalry have a big advantage on smaller maps; the Rohirrim can cover a lot of ground quickly. Use Theoden and Eomer and their leadership bonuses (and Glorious Charge) . Control the map with constant raids and keep economic production above your opponent. Siege enemy bases using Ents and Evenstar powers.

Isengard offers a solid mix of troops, upgrades, and siege weapon. For instance, the explosive mine can crumble enemy defenses in a single blow. Upgrade your uruk warriors and crossbowmen with forged steel and fire arrows and train pikemen to counter Rohan and Gondor cavalry. Lurtz is one of the better heroes in the game because he can cripple enemy heroes leaving them vulnerable to an immediate focused attack. This is especially useful against Gondor’s Gandalf.

ISENGARD

# Isengard's infantry force includes Orc laborers, Uruk-hai, Uruk pikemen, and berserkers. Orc laborers are trained from lumber mills to gather resources to fund Isengard's hordes of Uruk warriors. Although they're primarily resource gatherers, the laborers can be used in combat if necessary (such as aiding in a nearby battle or helping in base defense). . Uruk-hai are roughly the equivalent of Gondor's soldiers. Use the infantry units' block formation to gain additional armor at the expense of speed. The Uruk-hai also feature the bloodthirsty ability; this essentially allows you to sacrifice other Uruk-hai to increase experience of another Uruk-hai horde.

Attached Image
Uruk pikemen specifically counter enemy cavalry units and are a must to protect your Uruk warriors from the cavalry of Rohan and Gondor in particular. Use the porcupine formation against incoming cavalry to increase armor at the expense of speed (much like the infantry's block formation). Keep pikemen close to your infantry and ranged units so they can intercept incoming cavalry at a moment's notice. Berserkers aren't trained in hordes and don't require as many command points. They offer strong damage and armor (without upgrades) and excellent in rushing an archer line or thrashing defenses along a castle wall. Use a squad to rampage some settlements while a main force is occupied. Plus they have the light torch ability to light the Isengard's explosive mine for siege!

Attached Image
Construct the armory to upgrade Isengard infantry units (Uruk-hai and pikemen) with the forged blade and heavy armor enhancements. Forged blade increases damage and heavy armor increases armor. Research the banner carrier upgrade to instantly elevate your infantry hordes to experience level two.

Attached Image
Uruk crossbowmen are the Isengard ranged unit and are functionally similar to Mordor's orc archers or Gondor's archers. Protect crossbowmen from close-range attack so they can freely bombard enemy units with projectiles from a safe distance. Construct the armory to upgrade the Isengard crossbowmen with fire arrows, heavy armor, and banner carriers. Fire arrows are particularly important for their increased damage. Fire arrows also counter mumakil and Ents and can also be used to light the explosive mine.

Attached Image
Warg riders are essentially the Isengard cavalry unit. Warg riders are quick, durable, and can help break infantry lines to reach supporting archers. Utilize the howl ability to increase warg rider damage for a short period of time. Upgrade the warg rider's damage and armor at the armory (with forged blades and heavy armor) and use the banner carrier upgrade to elevate warg riders to experience level two instantly. Use warg riders to harass enemy troops, as scouts, and to scatter formations by charging into engagements.

Attached Image
# Isengard offers a variety of siege units to topple enemy castles and structures. The battering ram crushes gates, walls, and buildings but it must be moved against the structure to inflict damage. The ballistae inflicts solid damage against gates, walls, and structures and can crush stationary battalions and hordes--all from the relative safety of long-range. Use the siege ladders to elevate Uruk warriors onto walls to combat defending archers and reach base interiors quickly. Finally, the explosive mine can obliterate base defenses but must be placed against the structure and then lit to detonate. Light the explosive mine with the berserker's light torch ability, a fire arrow, or Saruman's fireball.

ISENGARD VS GONDOR

map: FORD OF ISEN Attached Image

This is the most simple and save buildorder imo.

Pit - uruk - mill - mill - furnace - uruk - furnace - uruk - crossbow [OR 2 uruks] - furnace

While building all this there are 3 things you need to do:

1. Stop the 2 soldiers that are rushing. After getting the mills, search for them on the top and middle of the map, warchant when you see them and kill them with both uruks.

2. When the soldiers are dead, send all uruks that you have build to one of the gondor farms. If you meet Pippin on the way, use one uruk to hunt him down.

3. When you got all those uruks at the opponents farm, use warchant on them all, and take two of the battalions to creep a warglair.
This is important, because the money you'll get from the warglair will allow you to build the wargpit when he's building his second knight battalion.

The crossbow should be send to creep somewhere where it is unlikely for knights to come early.

After the crossbows, builld two pikes to secure your mills, another one to attack him, and then start building wargs!

Attached Image

It is wisest to send your crossbows near the red cross, knights are unlikely to come there early

First, the blue spots: The cross marks the place where you should gather all uruks build in early game, and use your second warchant to take out a farm and the creep! The blue dots are places where it is smart to send a laborer scout.

Second, the purple spots: These spots are first priority locations to send pikes to. Usually it's best to guard your far mill first [that pike also guards the creep], then your crossbow [if you trained one], then your close mill.

Third are the green spots: There you'll attack his farms, and put pikes to guard warglairs. Those pikes can creep those lairs when warchant is available again.

During all this you'll have your wargs chasing knights. If the wargs don't have howl, do not engage in fights. Just chase the knights so they have a harder time harassing and killing pikes. Get armour as fast as possible to equip your wargs with it, banner after that, blades after that. It's also smart to give the pikes guarding mills closest to the enemy 1 upgrade.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ISENGARD TIPS

1.Don’t forget isen is an aggressive team be aggressive take mills fast, uruks are the fastest moving foot unit in the game take advantage of that

2.Use warchant to full effectiveness try to chant a group of units or 2 sets of uruks at once that way you are getting the maximum number of units chanted

3.With lurtz dont forget once he has crippled a hero to kill that hero straight away because you wont get the opportunity again

4.Make sure like gandi you keep saruman at the back of your forces for leadership he is not a fighting hero hes a hit and run hero

5.Make sure your armory is built at the back of the base so it is harder for the enemy to get to

MORDOR

Attached Image
Orc warriors and laborers comprise Mordor's grunt infantry force. Orc laborers are trained at lumber mills and primarily gather resources but can be used in combat if necessary . Orc warriors are unique in that they are free to train. Mordor must use their numbers as an advantage because the warriors are relatively weak in both health and damage potential. Improve warriors with the bloodthirsty ability; improve experience of one horde at the expense of another.

Attached Image
The forces of Mordor recruited Haradrim warriors to join their cause in the fight against Gondor. Haradrim lancers offer both melee and ranged attacks. Upon upgrading the Haradrim Palace to the next experience level, Mordor can create The Soldiers of Rhun (or easterlings), which are similar to Gondor's tower guards. Toggle the easterlings into porcupine formation to increase armor at the expense of speed

# Enhance Mordor's infantry troops at both the orc pit (which creates orc warriors) and the Haradrim Palace (which trains the Haradrim Lancers and Soldiers of Rhun). After both structures reach level two, you can research the banner carrier upgrade and instantly elevate an orc or Haradrim horde to experience level two. Raise the structure's rank by training units at that particular structure.

Attached Image
Orc archers are Mordor's primary ranged unit and function similar to other side's archer battalions and hordes. Protect orc archers from close-range attack so they can freely bombard enemy units with projectiles from a safe distance. Upgrade the archers at the orc pit. Once the orc pit reaches rank two, you can research the fire arrow upgrade to add fire damage to orc archer's projectiles. Fire arrows help counter mumakil and Ents.

Attached Image
The forces of Mordor also feature some impressively large units at their disposal. The lumbering, pricey mountain trolls provide excellent support for your other forces. Send him into the fray to rough up cavalry and infantry but beware of massed ranged fire. Mountain trolls can grab rocks and trees for added firepower and even eat an orc to replenish health. The drummer troll (trained at the troll cage level two) adds leadership bonuses to nearby troops by enhancing damage, armor, and experience.

Attached Image
Haradrim mumakil are massive elephants that can tear through cavalry and other ground forces but are extremely susceptible to ranged fire, especially fire arrows. The mumakil move slowly, which leaves them vulnerable to repeated and massed ranged attack. Support mumakil with other troops and garrison archers enhanced with fire arrows inside the mumakil's carriage.

# Mordor uses siege towers and catapults to invade castles and bombard structures from long-range. The siege tower is much like Isengard's siege ladder. Place the tower against a castle wall and maneuver troops inside and up onto the wall to battle defenses. Catapults are extremely fragile to infantry and melee attack. Protect these siege units from close assault and bombard enemy defenses and structures from long-range.

MORDOR TIPS

*Protect the troll cage at all costs very important building for mordor make sure you build it at the back of your base so it is harder for the enemy to get it

*When swooping with the nazgul always use screech take full advantage of this power
When you get wk keep him alive don’t attack with him unless it is safe to do so just sit him behind for leadership

*At the start with mordor protect your mills with orcs don’t go out protect your mills at all costs at start you shouldnt go and attack with orcs until you got the first troll out

*Harass with Gollum kill labourers with him on opponents side very annoying for the enemy

* Trolls with trees deal double damage against heroes

* Use trolls without trees to chase down Legolas if he runs. For some reason tree trolls don't catch him often.

* Use 'Guard' mode on an enemy building, unit, or a creep or to get Trolls and Nazgul out of trouble because they move faster when targeting an enemy unit or building.

* Use 'Guard' mode on an empty spot in Rohan's base with Gollum. If you're lucky you can kill his stable because Gollum attacks it whilst building on 0% complete, and destroys it. Rohan wastes the money used to build it.

* Use 'Blood Thirsty' on Orcs sitting next to Drummers to get leveled combos in late game because then you don't need to buy the banner upgrade.

* Mumakil's 'trample' kills most of Rohan's heroes in one shot without the Eye of Sauron. The only heroes that need eye to be used on are Aragorn when he has 'blademaster' and Anduril, and Gimli.

GONDOR TIPS

# Remember Gondor can only be good if you keep your units alive especially your horses so use your well often.

# While one set of horses is healing another set should be harassing this is important than you change over so you are always harassing with horses that are healed.

# You should keep gates closed as much as you can and when you have finished a strat you should make side door THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.

# Gandalf is very important. When using Gandalf you should “hit and run” never stay and fight with Gandalf HE IS NOT A FIGHITING HERO, use a spell than run him away from the action. Make sure you have heal ready and watch him closely. Keep him behind your combos he offers great leadership

# Istari light is one of gandalfs most powerful attacks should only be used against heroes it is a hero killer so only on heroes. Don’t waste it on normal units.

# Horses should always be moving, whether they are distracting, attacking, harassing, creeping, healing, defending or chasing down they should always be doing something. Make your horses work hard.

# At start always have your hobbit cloaked near an enemy farm, even if your soldiers don’t manage to drop a farm just send your horses to that farm later and drop it. Than enemy has to than kill the hobbit before buying back his farm which is very annoying

# Use faramir offensively he can kill a battalion of unupgraded horses easily at start, watch out for wargs though who have chant and howl. With heal you could probably kill 2 bats. Very good at keeping horses off your side of the map.

ROHAN

Attached Image
Rohan peasants are the sole infantry unit, though they arent specialized fighters. Peasants repair structures, but can be called into combat duty and enhanced by various upgrades. The Evenstar power "Draft" increases peasant armor and damage to bolster their combat ability. Furthermore, construct a Rohan armory and research forged blades to increase peasant damage further and research heavy armor to increase peasant armor. Peasants can also increase in experience and rank research banner carrier at the Rohan armory to instantly raise peasant battalions to experience level two.

Attached Image
Rohan specialize in cavalry units and offer both melee and ranged cavalry units. The Riders of Rohan can tear through enemy infantry lines; Avoid an attack against Uruk pikemen or Gondor tower guards as these units specifically counter cavalry units. Upgrade Rohirrim at the armory research forged blades to enhance damage and heavy armor to increas armor. Use banner carier to instantly increase a Rohirrim battalion to rank two. Once the stable reaches rank two, research horse shields to further increas armor.

Attached Image
Yeoman archers and Rohirrim archers (cavalry archers) are Rohan ranged units. Protect ranged units from close-range attack from enemy infantry battalions and hordes. Keep the Rohan archers at a safe distance and damaging enemy units from long-range. Rohan cavalry archers ar obviously much quicker than Yeoman archers and can escape situations more easily. Enhanc both archers once the archery range reaches rank two. Research the fire arrow upgrade to add fire damage to archers and Rohirrim archers. At the armory, research banner carrier to instantly elevate archers and Rohirrim archers to experience level two. use the heavy armor upgrade to increas Yeoman and Rohirrim archer armor.

Rohan can build Ent Moots on settlements and train Ents, Ents are slow but extremely durable, though somewhat easily countered by fire arrows Ents are also Rohan siege weapon toggle Ents between melee and ranged attacks. When using ranged attacks, the Ents grab boulders and trow the rocks at the targets. Ents can thrash base structures fairly quickly

ROHAN TIPS

Remember when sending theo with combos that he is off his horse that makes him a harder target in combo battles

Eowyn has a special ability against nazgul her spear nearly kills naz don’t forget this in battles against mordor

When doing the ent rush strat always remember it helps if you have your hobbit cloaked close to their base so you can cast ents quicker and easier

One warg pit can get eomer to level four if you micro properly than his leadership value is added to all your units

Don’t forget with Aragon his eledill ability if you are surrounded it gives you a bit of space to retreat or attack

It is good and looks like it took alot of time and effort. But what is it supposed to be?

A guide?
Article?

Sorry for asking that but if it is a guide then it is all over the place no sense of order and some lacking in detail where as others have plenty of detail.

If it is a article then it starts off very well but then looses it's edge and detail.

Tbh i think you should take the information of all the characters out of there because it stands for it's self and is very impressive, would be best in the tolkien lore section. The information about the ingame characters (prices etc) could be broken down and pinned into each seperate section because again that has a great amount of detail maybe just a format change i.e make there moves more noticable and it would great for a 1st time player.

Sorry for all the critism, don't take it the wrong way it is all great just layed out wrong sad.gif
