What does this do?

Ever wanted to play a BFME game where offhost has no disadvantage compared to the(on)host? Well this patch fixes this. The patch includes also two smaller bugfixes one decreases the spamming the other decreases the time when someone disconnects.
  • ‘Host Command lag’ reduced a lot (offhost lag, heal lag)
  • Decreased the spamming required
  • The countdown in Disconnecting screen(kickscreen) has been decreased .It takes less time to kick someone who dropped out the game.
Known issues

Slow computers can still cause lag. The same applies to slow connections, those with a bad connection cause lag.
When someone is in italics on gameranger that might mean you'll get every few seconds through out the game the kickscreen of that person.(be aware if you see that happen alot, it might aswel be your connection causing trouble).

Installation

Download the patch unzip this in your BFME install dir.
(ex. C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\The Battle for Middle-earth™ )

Note: Common mistakes : Putting it in the replays folder (appdata) ,
put it in the shortcuts folder of BFME (start menu)
or to Install patch 1.01 / 1.02 (don't it will give you a missmatch)

Additional:
You are still required to spam(every 8 seconds) when you entered a hosted game.
In the options menu you'll still see 1.03 even when you put the 1.04 patch correctly in place.

Has anyone played it and can confirm it??

If it works it's a good thing for FoL mirrors indeed, however the most important and prestigious MU, which is Gondor-Isen on FoI, is imbalanced now.

Does it completely wipe the delay or just reduce it by 50% for example?

Theres still some delay, enough that if 3+ horses rushing ur base you wont be able to delete buildings in time so still pretty balanced imo.

Lag is really reduced, maybe still a bit, but really close from what you have when you host. Also the game run faster and the best way to be conviced about is watching a replay, its really insane lol. Imo, i haven't played it a lot, but it seems that the "first" patch was better than this one.

You serious? I think I haven't lost more than 2 towers to horse rushes in all my games together.

The thing is in 2v2, 2 fol can easily kill an isen base, because basically it is 8 bat of knight that have no delay.

Yea we just experienced that today... But all in all it's very good. Rage, on the other hand, Gondor now has a fighting chance offhost vs Isen also, so host is no longer a necessity.

Yeah but imo FoL should always have host anyways.
