Description
Also returning from Starcraft: Broodwar, is the enigmatic Ghost. It retains its abilities from Broodwar including activated cloaking and the ability to call down Nuclear Strikes. Combining these abilities allows the Terran to direct a devastating Nuclear attack anywhere the Ghost can see, instantly leveling the battlefield and any unfortunate units to be caught in the blast. In terms of combat capabilities, the Ghost retain their trusty Sniper Rifles, keeping to their role as stealthy killers, but their strength is unknown as all we have seen so far involves an unfeasible amount of Zerglings overwhelming three unfortunate Ghosts who have just coordinated nuclear attacks to clear out a battlefield.
It has also been noticed that the Nuclear Strike indicator is now much, much more prominent, as opposed to that little red dot in Starcraft: Broodwar that most people tended to miss. This is, however, only for the player who is launching the nuke. For the enemies of the ghost the indicator will still be the classic red dot.
The new additions to the ghost' abilities are a snipe ability and
the capability of summoning a number of marines onto the battle field. The snipe ability can only be used on non-mechanical units. The classic Lock-Down ability is currently not available for the Ghost. The summon ability is in the form of a Drop Pod that allows for raids at the rear of an enemies base.
Unit Abilities Cloak: The Ghost becomes invisible without detectors.
Nuclear Strike: Targets were a nuclear missile will explode.
Snipe: Kills a non-mechanical unit with one shot.
Drop Pod: Drops a squad of Marines on the target location.
