Description
Representing the next generation of Terran air superiority fighters, the Predator is the Terran answer to the fast attack Protoss Phoenix and the replacement to the Wraith fighter of Starcraft: Brood War. The Predator is only able to attack air units, and will function on the battlefield as an escort to the Terran Banshee bombers.
A rather unique ability is what is referred to as "Interceptor mode". Built into the Predator, the aircraft is able to convert itself into Interceptor mode, which is supposedly capable of "shooting down incoming fire". Whether this means if the Interceptor Predator is able to defend against incoming missiles and projectiles much like the Mothership Time Field ability is yet unknown, but this alternate mode of combat is sure to present interesting possibilities.
